It's a ThinkPad T61p, 15" 1920x1200, now with 4GB RAM and 2.4GHz dual core Core 2 Duo. 256mb NVIDIA gfx card too.

I miss those little mouse sticks (the red dot on the keyboard). I always liked those better than the touchpad for general computer use (when a mouse isn't present).

I love how that opens up to access. My Dell Inspiron has to be completely taken apart, even the screen, just to access the internals.

Even for RAM/HD upgrades?!

Yup. It's a pain in the ass. That's why I want to upgrade or something.

1920 x 1200 on a 15"? Thats awesome. Best I've seen is 1680x1050 on a 16".

You never seen 1920x1080 on 15" laptops?!

My old T520 work laptop had a 1920x1080 screen, along with a discrete video card that could run two monitors. Three 1920x1080 screens is the bestevs.

Look at Lenovos. They still have 'em. My brand spanking new L440 still has the nubbin

How do you like the 440 series?

Love the form factor. The SSD is hella quick. Needs more RAM (only 4 GB in mine). Chiclet keyboard is balls, and they still put the Fn key where Ctrl should be. But, it still runs 2 monitors + screen (when docked) and they're finally making progress with the trackpad. All in all, not a bad lappy toppy.
Planning on getting a Yoga for my personal machine; I do loves the Lenovos.

I liked the older trackpads more, like the one in my T61p. I have a W530 as well and I definitely prefer the older keyboard layout, but it is still a very good one compared to most other new laptops. So many of them are cheap and flex when you type... ThinkPads and Apple laptops are sturdy and well-built. 8GB RAM is pretty cheap; you should be able to upgrade easily. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc…

Their old trackpads were tits. Right around the T x 10 series they started messing with multitouch and got it really wrong. This one is quite smooth and noice. On the RAM part, I ain't spending no cash on a work laptop ;)

I refuse to buy a laptop without a dedicated gfx card.

I fix computers part-time....I love Lenovo laptops.
They don't always have the very best specs for the money, but I love their build quality.
4 gigs of RAM should serve you well.
I just upgraded a clients Lenovo with a SSD hard drive and 8 gigs of RAM...it's a completely different machine :-)
